Meet the Dancers

Ashley Miller

Ashley began dancing in 2011 at Jackson School of the Arts and has been training aerial & circus arts since 2017. She is a founding member of both modern dance companies Dance Uprising (2019) and Confluence Dance Company (2025). She has done three aerial teacher trainings and is certified by Cirqfit and Born to Fly Aerial. In 2022, she brought aerial arts to the city of Jackson, MI, increasing accessibility to an otherwise expensive art form that is outside of reasonable traveling distance. The aerial program boasts dozens of Jackson residents of all ages, many of whom have been helping us build a Jackson aerial community since launch.  She obtained a holistic nutrition certification through a 2 year program and a Bachelor’s of Health Science which allowed her to launch her online health & wellness courses. Her background in health education informs her teaching style to support her students’ physical & emotional wellness in and out of the classroom.

Angelina Dickinson

Angelina Dickinson started dance at two years old and absolutely hated it. She came back to dance later in life, however, and found then the strength and beauty of movement set to music rather addicting. She trained in Irish Dance, Ballet, Classical & Latin Ballroom, Historical Contra dance, Folk Dance and Contemporary starting in 2004. Angelina started working at Jackson School of the Arts in 2011 and began teaching classes in 2013. In 2017, she started teaching at Heaven's Least Ballet in Albion, and became Artistic Director shortly thereafter. Angelina was certified in Progressing Ballet Technique in Dublin, Ireland in 2018; and earned her Silver Swan Certification from the Royal Academy of Dance London, England in 2021. She is currently working on achieving her Le Cheile certification from Northern Lights Irish Dance Academy. Angelina is passionate about story telling through many forms. When not dancing or teaching, Angelina loves to draw, paint, direct plays, write novels no one will likely read, document her world travels through film, and bring the past to the present via experiential archeology and a robust historical sewing practice. Although she grew up in the city of Albion (on Burr Oak St.!), Angelina currently lives on a modest homestead in Parma with her darling husband, three chickens, two smallish girls and four largish cats.

Julianna Frigerio

With over fifteen years of experience, Julianna Frigerio has come to see dance as the ultimate fusion of artistry, beauty, self-expression, creativity, and community. For her, dance is more than movement—it's a full-body art form and a powerful language through which she can express herself and connect with others. Julianna's dance journey has taken her through a wide range of styles, including the technical rigor of ballet, the emotional depth of contemporary, the rhythmic precision of tap, the communal energy of contra dancing, and the dynamic partnership of ballroom. Whether immersed in the discipline of a structured class or sharing the spontaneous joy of movement with others, she finds deep fulfillment in every aspect of the art. Dance continues to challenge, inspire, and bring meaning to the way she moves through the world.
