Join the Albion Historical Society and Fluence Arts Organization on January 18th, 2025 for a presentation, The History of Dance in Albion. Kristy Clement will share the story of the dance program at Albion College, honor the legacy of dancer, teacher, choreographer, and mentor, Melissa "Missy" Wyss, and illustrate the impact that dance and movement had on our community. As part of the event, we will be joined by a special guest speaker, a truly talented and influential dancer, choreographer, and educator, John Parks. Parks's involvement in the program was key to its success and development. The event will take place at Herrick Theatre on the Albion College campus at 405 S Hannah Street, Albion, MI on Jan 18 at 1:00 pm. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted.
John Parks is a dancer, choreographer, and educator who was an integral part of bringing the dance program to life at Albion College. Parks has been a returning guest artist and friend to the community of Albion. He will be making a special visit to Albion to speak at this event.
