Fluence arts at festival of the forks!
Festival of the Forks 2026 is coming up! The annual Albion community festival historically includes local artisans, food, and culture. This year Kids 'n' Stuff, the Greater Albion Chamber of Commerce, and Fluence Arts Organization are working together to feature an artform that is new to the festival. Aerial artist, Ashley Miller, will perform at the Kids 'n' Stuff program room on September 19th at 11:30 AM!
Aerial Artist, Ashley Miller
Ashley Miller began dancing in 2011 and has been training in aerial & circus arts since 2017. She is a founding member of both modern dance companies Dance Uprising (2019) and Confluence Dance Company (2025). She has completed a yoga teacher certification, three aerial teacher trainings and is certified by Cirqfit and Born to Fly Aerial. In 2022, she brought aerial arts to the city of Jackson, MI, increasing accessibility to a costly & elusive art form. The aerial program boasts dozens of Jackson residents of all ages, creating Jackson’s first circus community. She obtained a 2-year holistic nutrition certification and a Bachelor of Health Science degree, which enabled her to launch online health & wellness courses. She has also had the exciting opportunity to train with Cirque du Soleil & Joffrey Ballet School. Currently, she is a social media content creator focused on advocating for adult dancers, fueling and wellness for performers, while sharing her personal journey as an artist. She has recently made the decision to go back to college to major in Dance and minor in Musical Theatre at Eastern Michigan University. Her background in health education informs her teaching style, supporting her students’ physical & emotional wellness in and out of the classroom.
