Fluence Arts presents an evening of dance featuring nine original works performed by both community members and professional dance artists. The Missy Wyss Celebration of Dance—named in honor of the founder and director of the former Albion College Dance Program—will take place on June 6, 2026 at 6:00 PM in Goodrich Chapel on the Albion College campus.
Thirteen amateur and professional dancers will come together to make this special event possible. Audiences will experience new choreography by Artistic Director Kristy Clement, created for a cast of six community dancers, along with performances by local experienced dancers Ashley Miller and Angie Dickinson.
Guest artists from HBY Ensemble (Detroit, MI) and Demetrius Klein Dance Company (Hamilton, OH) will travel to Albion to share their artistry. Together, these dancers bring more than 160 years of combined experience, offering insight into the art form's enduring legacy.
On Sunday, following the performance, Demetrius Klein will teach a master class at In-Fluence Studio (600 E Michigan Ave, Room 204, Albion, MI). The class is open to ages 15 and up and welcomes dancers of all experience levels.
Tickets are available online or at the door with a suggested donation of $10. Visit www.fluencearts.com for more information or to reserve your tickets.
